In tropical countries like Indonesia, there are two types of seasons, summer and rainy season. But besides these two seasons, there is another little-known season is the season of tropical fruits. It is not the real season in climate, just a common expression.

This season usually occurs towards the end of the year. The market will be filled with tropical fruits. We can easily find the tropical fruits with a cheap price.

Fresh tropical fruits which are found in the market, among others, durian, rambutan, mangosteen, jackfruit, and Duku or Langsat. Do you know or ever eating these fruits? If not I will tell you in this blog article.

Rambutan

Name Rambutan came from its unique shape, there are hairs that covered all over the fruit skin. The flesh of the fruit is white with a sweet taste. The seeds are gray. The sweet taste of rambutan makes us addicted to consuming it. When we consume excessively will cause coughing. Processed fruit rambutan trending at this year are candied rambutan that has a unique flavor, sweet, sour and salty. Are you interested in trying it?

Durian

Another tropical fruit that has unique shape and smell is durian. Durian thorn can cause injury if we are not careful to hold it. But behind the thorns the flesh of fruits is so the deliciously. it's hard to describe with words. especially durian newly fallen from the tree. It is recommended to eat a heavy meal before eating durian, high gas content in the fruit durian can cause vomiting if our stomach is unfilled with another food.

Purple Mangosteen (Manggis)

Purple Mangosteen or we call it Manggis in the Indonesian Language. It's shaping round with a unique color. It’s rind contains the sap purple. The flesh of the fruit is white. There are two taste, sweet and sour taste. Difficult choose the mangosteen fruit that has a sweet taste. The mangosteen fruit is well know as herbal medicine. Nowadays mangosteen fruit is often processed into medicine than on consumption.

Cempedak

Cempedak and Jackfruit actually are different fruit. The smell, shape, and taste are different from the jack jackfruit. You'll know when you taste it? Cempedak is one of my favorite tropical fruit because it’s smell and taste. So calming when you smell and taste the fruit. Like durian very recommended eating a heavy meal like rice or bread before eating Cempedak. We also can consume the seed of the Cempedak. Before we consumed the seed, we must boil it first.

Duku or Langsat

Another tropical fruit that is in my city is Duku or Langsat in the local language. Duku has a round shape with a sweet taste of the fruit flesh. The sweet taste of the fruit duku also unique. If consumed it in large quantities can make urinate more often. Duku can not be found if it is not in fruit season.
