Food Trip # 1 @ BUEN PROVECHO, THEME: (VEGETARIAN)ASIAN FUSION

Hello again  Steemians!

Welcome to my first food blog. It was a lunch out with family and friends. We all decided to visit a small cozy place  Buen Provecho Cafe, located at uptown Cagayan de Oro City near SM Mall.  Buen Provecho  is a Spanish word meaning " Good Benefit." It doesn't  really make sense right? But this is what the Spaniards say to their guest and friends before they eat their meal. It's an equivalent of "Bon Appetit" in Italian or "Enjoy Your Meal" in English.

Healthy Lifestyle Program

Not only a place to eat and enjoy mouth-watering foods but, they have an advocacy and that's spreading a Health Message by eating the right food in order to stay healthy and enjoy life at the fullest.  They have a program called "CHIP" Complete Health Improvement Program. As what I have heard from customer's, it is a 30 to 60-day program wherein you undergo "detox " naturally by eating natural, organic fruits and vegetables in your meals. By doing so, you can improve your health.  " Eat More Weigh Less". That's the theme is all about.

Now, maybe you are wondering how can an individual weigh less while eating more ? It's because it is purely  a vegetarian diet. I am not a vegan anymore. I just consider myself as an occasional vegetarian. I can live with a strict vegan diet but not for long.  My meals at present , consist of  fruits , veggies, eggs  and fish.  I eat beef, native chicken , and goat once in a while.  Way back 2010,  I went on a vegetarian diet for 6 months. Yep! 6 months without  fish or meat. I lost about  25 lbs and my waist line trimmed down  from 30 inches to 27 in. So, it's not impossible to weigh less and eat more.
