Taqurias Arandas: Tex-Mex

There's nothing like an authentic Tex-Mex meal to make me feel at home. Taquerias Arandas is another restaurant, here in Houston, that I patron often. This company was born here in Houston. I had the privilege of attending university with one of the daughters of the owner. In my opinion, they have some of the best Tex-Mex food in the world! And trust me, I have been around the world trying various Tex-Mex restaurants. Nothing compares to this place. I have tried a few things on their menu, but my favorite are their Fajitas for one. This dish doesn't come with shrimp, you must request it. But its well worth the extra cost.

They come to you on a hot skillet with bell pepper and onion. On the side, they give you your beans of choice, guacamole, veggies, and rice. You can also choose from corn tortillas or flour. I like the corn tortillas. They have an extensive menu, but I always order the fajitas.

Taqurias Arandas is also well known for their California Burrito. And yes, it is as big as it looks in the picture.
