How to prepare Nigerian jollof rice

Hello everyone, I'ld like to share with you my Nigerian jollof rice recipe. I am a lover of good food,and I'm sure everyone also likes good food. Here we go;

INGREDIENTS
2 cigar cups of basmati rice
Tomatoes and pepper(atarodo)
Meat/fish(I'll be using meat)
1 spoon of Thyme
2 spoons of curry(Nigerian curry powder)

2-4 small stock cubes
Salt to taste
1 bulb of onion

PROCEDURE
Step 1:
Thoroughly wash the meat and place in a pot. Add chopped onions, curry, thyme and salt(optional). Leave to cook for some minutes(20-30). Pour some oil in the frying pan and place the pieces of meat into the hot oil to fry till golden brown.

Step 2: Making the sauce(stew)
In another pot, cook the rice for some minutes and parboil. Leave in the filter. Add oil to the pot(I usually use the oil I used in frying the meat because it gives the food a uniqe taste). Add chopped onions to the oil and the ground tomatoes and pepper. Fry till there's no sign of water in it. Add curry, thyme,maggi cubes and salt.
Step3:
Pour the stock from the meat you boiled into the stew and add little water enough to cook the rice. Add the rice into the sauce and leave to cook till there's no sign of water.

I allow mine burn a little because it gives it a different taste.

Now that the food is ready, you can serve with fried plantain and cold juice.
