It's what's for dinner
So I made the Mac & cheese. Here's how a poor white girl, living in a trailer in Wyoming does it. Take a pound and a half of hamburger, put it in a pot, season with some garlic salt, onion powder, a dash of Worcester (thank god for spell check lol) sauce. Don't ask me to spell out a tsp. of this or a tbsp. of that. I don't measure unless I'm baking. Cooking is an art, baking is science. Anyway, brown the hamburger up. Break it up small or big. Small if you have children, big if your feeding men. After it's good and done, take a strainer and place it over another large pot. Strain your burger juices into this second pot. Place the cooked hamburger someplace where the dogs won't get into it. Almost fill the pot with hot water. Bring to a boil. Take 2 boxes of deluxe Mac & Cheese and put the noodles into the boiling water. Use the deluxe kind, the one with the pouch of cheese. ($1.75 a box at family dollar). Cook for 8 min. After it's done, strain the noodles, but leave a little of the hot water in the pan. Not a lot just a little, about 1/4 cup. Stir in the 2 pouches of cheese. The hot water will help the cheese melt and become creamy. If you left too much water and it's to soupy, put back on the stove on high heat, for a couple of minutes. Stir constantly so it don't burn. Now add your browned hamburger. Mix it all up so the cheese coats the burger and your good to go. Make sure you have bread and butter out and a nice big glass of milk. This dinner fed me, my husband and my brother-in-law. None left over either.
