Hey Everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself to the world of Steemit.

Who Is Saucy Girl?

Well, I'm a gal from New Orleans. I have the flair for great food with attitude!

I make a living by being a caterer and starting my own food product line. I'm not on Steemit to sell my line, but it doesn't hurt either.

I have a lot of knowledge about cooking, reviewing restaurants, lust for travel and the latest on controversial current events. I am a retired journalist or so to speak. I consider myself retired because I haven't sold an article in 20 years. I have a bachelors in Broadcast Journalism and minor in Art. Besides today's Journalism is more like "yellow journalism". Yes, I'm talking about W.R. Hurst and J. Pulitzer era of journalism. (If interested in this topic, Wikipedia is a great start) Another reason why I'm retired is because I have no interest going after articles and papa-razzing on the latest 15 minute of fame wannabes.

My passion is food. I didn't get it from just living in New Orleans. I grew up having a grandmother who made the best Sunday dinners,a father that took my sister and I into the kitchen to make great Saturday meals. Parents (still married after 51 years) taking us to better and well known restaurants in New Orleans. Then I traveled to other cities to discover the types of food the world has to offer. My first real trip was to Naples and Rome, Italy. Great start to discover food. Napoli Pizza, I mean, really?!

So, I want to use Steemit to give y'all some great recipes you can share with your family and friends. Don't forget the drink too, I am Irish after all and I reputation is true for me. I like to drink, socially and with a great meal. I hope to turn everyone on to some great discoveries and possibly some relics too.
