Pink Smoothie? YES PLEASE!
This beautiful colored smoothie is all natural. The pink color comes from none other than..... BEETS! I love putting beets in smoothies, especially for the color.
Benefits of beets:
My family has a history of high blood pressure, so to avoid having to ever take blood pressure medication, I try to eat healthy foods. Beets actually help to keep your blood pressure in check. It also helps with inflammation. Kale and ginger also have anti-inflammatory properties which helps with joint pain and headaches.
It seems like nowadays they have a pill for everything. Instead of taking the pills, why not change your diet and eat healthier foods? A change in diet and eating less processed foods and refined sugar can really turn your health around. The changes are not instant which is why people prefer the pill over the diet, but healthy diets feed your body on a cellular level. We do not see our body at the cellular level, so even if a person looks healthy, they could be starving at the cellular level. Each cell in your body needs nutrients and if an adequate amount of nutrients are not entering into your body, the effects may not be seen until it is too late.
