Human consumption of egg began thousands of years ago, though different types of animals egg are consumed, the most common is that of the chicken.

Eggs from chicken is a staple diet, it is consumed in different ways, boiled or fried. It is also used to garnish majority of our dishes. Egg is known for its rich protein content and also cholesterol content from the yolk.

Eggs are pretty much an ideal food as they contain little bit of all nutrients we need for body functioning.

Health benefits of Egg consumption

1. Best quality protein

Protein is actually required for repair of worn out cells in the body. Egg happens to be a very healthy source of this protein, a cheap source at that.

2. Osteoporosis and ricket prevention

Egg is rich in vitamin D, and this vitamin helps prevent lightness of bone. Vitamin D is also essential for for absorption of calcium and maintenance of optimum bone health.

3. Reduce Overweight

Research has shown that egg yolk consumption daily helps obese people loose weight. This has been proved. It is also a healthy natural way to loose weight.

4. Protection of eyesight

Egg contains lutein and Zeaxanthin which are powerful antioxidant. They help in development of the retina and protects it from uv rays. Egg is also rich with vitamin A. This helps prevent cataracts, caused by old age.

5. Brain development

Egg contains an important nutrient known as choline. This choline helps increase brain development and functioning . This is very important for infants and pregnant women. Choline also helps in liver function and fat metabolism.

Incorporating eggs into our diet

As I said earlier that egg is consumed in different forms,boiled, scrambled or fried. This makes it easy to incorporate into our diet. Eggs can be made into the following heath meals.
Pancake
Omelet
Quiche and
Kedgeree.

Eggs can also be mixed into our food variety
Bread and fried egg
Noodles and egg
Egg with salad
Yam and egg sauce.

I'd end by saying that study results and dieticians encourage eating of egg daily. Egg is nature's free gift to us, eat it and your health would thank you

Here's another one, its very simple but really delicious in my opinion.
Just make a normal scrambeled egg and mix ith with small tomato pices and add a small amount of pepper to it. Ahw, I love eggs in all forms ;P haha

Thats why I like eggs. You cook it how you like it! so many different cooking methods
