Eat with me #3: Hungry Guy - Vienna
the hungry guy in vienna is such a nice place for delicious healthy food. it's one of the best street foods in town. the cuisine is multicultural according to the motto open kitchen - open mind. the team consists of street food chefs from iraq, italy, jordan, israel, switzerland, syria, germany and austria. not only is this place tucked in the corner of a popular street in vienna, the inside is very hip, modern, and has a very casual vibe.
the pitas are freshly baked and you can see them as you walk in just waiting to be made into the perfect pita pocket. hungry guy puts a lot of value on the freshness of first class food. as you can see i ordered a hummus/tahini plate with the best falafel ever. the falafel were crunchy on the ouside soft on the inside. as i already mentioned in my posts before, i really love bread, so i ordered some extra pita for my lovely lunch plate. my husband loves the hummus/shakshuka they offer. shakshuka is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onions and often spiced with cumin. sounds so delicious and tasts even better.
so if you want to eat something other than a wiener schnitzel, i highly recommend eating here. in fact, it has both vegan and meat options to suit everyone!
have a nice day! :)
