SWEET RICE BALLS
Cooking time -20 to 30 mins
Rice Flour -1 1/2 cup
Ghee -1/2 tsp
Jaggery -100gm (Change as per taste)
Grated coconut -1 cup
Cardamom -3 to 4 nos
Roasted cumin seed powder -1/2 tsp
Oil - for greasing
Salt - As per your taste
Water - As per required
Procedure :
Take a pan and heat broken jaggery pieces with a small quantity of water and melt it. when melted
strain and keep aside.Boil water and salt together then add rice flour (use a wooden spatula or spoon), make a soft dough, shape dough
into small balls and keep aside.Take a bowl and mix melted jaggery grated coconut ghee and spices.
Take one rice ball and flatten it into a small circle
Place 2tsp coconut jaggery mix in its middle. Seal the circle evenly and make a small ball. Repeat this process until the
dough and fillings finish.Take an idli cooker/ steamer, Grease oil in idli dish or normal plate. Place each rice balls accordingly
when all rice balls are placed, cover and steam it for 15 to 30 mins.
