Chinese pineapple cakes are commonly attributed to Taiwanese cuisine but have since made their debut in many other parts of the world.

They are rectangular box shaped with buttery short bread consistency, filled with a pineapple jam inside.

Most recently, with the Lunar New Year, these little tasty nuggets would be gifted to family and friends and enjoyed as a light snack before or after dinner.
