HAZELNUT HOT CHOCOLATE | Creamy Crockpot Homemade Hot Chocolate Recipe
Happy Holidays Steemians,
Nothing says, "Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas", like a mug full of creamy hot chocolate or hot cocoa! This easy homemade holiday drink is made in the slower-cooker (crockpot) to deliver a rich and creamy hot chocolate that your family and friends will love. We've even added a little bit of hazelnut syrup to give it a nice little twist!
Tip: You can make this hot chocolate into an "adult" beverage by adding a little (or a lot) of Kahlua.
HAZELNUT HOT CHOCOLATE
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
1 14oz. Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
6 Cups Whole Milk
2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
2 Cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Hazelnut Syrup
Mini Marshmellows and/or Whipped Cream For Topping
- Combine all of the ingredients in the slow cooker and stir.
- Cover and cook on low for 2 hours. Stir occasionally. Hot chocolate is ready when all of the chocolate chips are melted.
- Ladle the hot chocolate into mugs and top with marshmallows and/or whipped cream.
