Has it been touched?

This bakery cafe I sometimes go to, often has food samples for people to try.
The other day while I was waiting from my afternoon pick me up at this cafe, one of the workers asked me if I would like to sample the food they had on display.

I hesitated for a second because this blog post (https://steemit.com/food/@lifeobserver/food-handling-observation-why-touch-all-food) that I read a while back suddenly popped into my mind. But the look on the worker's face was very hard for me to say no, so I picked a piece that's at the very back of the tray. I couldn't help but wonder if the piece that I was eating had been touched by some other hand..
