I still marvel at the fact that such a small country can, not only pack a big punch, but it has so much to offer in terms of culture; whether it be food, religion or history. And that the traditional is so intricately woven into the modern is rather interesting. They seem to complement rather than compete against each other is for me what stands out about these posts.

I think it has to do with the support they received post war from the United States, even reluctant as they were to intervene, it was in the best interests of the allies to have a strategic place in Asia to keep an eye out on potential future threats. Still, that's not to take away from the native people who have done really well to unite and advance despite all the blips in their history.
Hell yeah and Trump will only support Taiwan more! And Taiwan will keep its mergr with mainland continuing, Language, Culture, and whats the third one? is it economy? I forgot the three things they use, I think it is Language Culture and ... ahhh i forget the third one, but yeah, HongKong is still doing great right? So if Taiwan reached a deal with mainland to become an autonomous type zone like Hong Kong then Taiwan could even open the door to a more open democratic China mainland, imagin taiwan having a influence on China on teh mainland and imagien seeing everyone inteh YOUNG neew generation that is coming up now, imagine them figuring out that the taiwanese system works great for certain things, and imagine China mainland with the freedoms of Taiwan, CHina could have a whole NEW economic BOOM time if the mainland became like Hongkong and Taiwan! ! And China can also use Cryptocuyrrency projects in Africa and before we know it Africa can LEAPFROG past western nations and Steem will be a token used between developing nations!
