New Recipe: Crispy Fried Sphere (Golgappa and Pani Puri)

Hello Steemians today I am going to show you how to make Crispy Fried Sphere. This is a super recipe to make Crispy Fried Sphere at home.

Ingredients:

  1. Semolina 1 cup
  2. All purpose flour ½ cup
  3. 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil for deep frying

For Filling:

  1. Potato 1 cup boiled
  2. White Chickpeas ( 1cup)

For Sour Water:

  1. Mint leaves ½ bunch
  2. Green chillies 3
  3. Water 1 liter
  4. Tamarind pulp ½ cup
  5. Roasted coriander powder 1 tsp
  6. Roasted cumin powder 1 tbsp
  7. Chilli powder ½ tsp
  8. Salt ½ tsp
  9. Ginger 2 tbsp chopped
  10. Lemon juice 3 tbsp

Directions:

  1. Take semolina, flour, baking soda and salt in a wide bowl and mix well.
  2. Add water in small quantities to make bind dough.
  3. Cover it with a cloth and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  4. After 30 minutes remove the cloth and knead it well until it becomes a smooth texture.
  5. Take some portion of dough give it a round shape like ball and roll it out using a rolling pin.

  7. Heat out in a deep frying pan when oil is medium hot and reduce heat and fry till crisp.golgappa-puri.jpg

Directions for Sour Water:

  1. In a blender put together ginger, mint leaves, green chillies and blend to a fine paste.

  2. Mix in water with tamarind pulp, lemon juice, roasted cumin, roasted coriander powder, chilli powder and salt, mix well.

  3. The water should be tangy and spicy. Strain water and keep in the fridge to chilli or add ice and use.

To Assemble:

Puncture the Crispy Fried Sphere with tip of your thumb, add 1 tsp of filling(Potatoes and White Pani-Puri_2000.jpgChickpeas) and top it with the sour water, if you like it a little sweet add little sweet tamarind or plum chutney before adding the water.
