Bada Reuteuek is one of the many traditional Aceh foods that are beginning to be rare, it is said that this meal is eating the previous kings in Aceh.
Timphan Asoe is rich also not unlike the case with Bada Reuteuek, soft foods steamed by the shoots of young banana leaves are served at each house in Aceh during Idul Fitri.

There is even one sentence from timphan that became one of Aceh's proverbs, "uroe goet beuleun goet, timphan mak peugoet han meuteumee taste". The proverb is usually addressed to young immigrants who can not go back to their hometown when Eid arrives.
