MONKEYGLAND SAUCE
Very odd name. Delicious Sauce. Try with any meat. Divine with or on burgers and steak.
Ingredients
15 ml (3 T) olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
90 g (½ cup) Brown Suger
125 ml (½ cup) water
1 x 410 g can chopped peeled tomatoes
125 ml (½ cup) tomato sauce
125 ml (½ cup) Worcestershire sauce
125 ml (½ cup) chutney
30 ml (2 T) vinegar
5 ml (1 t) Tabasco sauce, optional
Method
Place the olive oil in a saucepan and place over medium heat.
Add the onions and garlic and cook until soft.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir thoroughly to combine.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 - 40 minutes.
Serve with your favourite meat.
