How To Make Banana And Apple Healthy Type Frappe (No Milk and Sugar)
Usually, frappe drinks are made with milk, sugar and sometimes coffee. However, this one I made could pass for smoothie. It was my wish to add peanut butter which would have formed something like groundnut/peanut milk, but I later changed my mind and just used plain filtered water.
Ingredients For Banana and Apple Frappe (serves 2 people)
- Apple 1 medium-sized
- Bananas 1 medium-sized finger
- Coconut/almond milk (optional) 1 cup
- Stevia sweetner (optional) 1-3 drops
- Cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp
- Water 1 cup
- Cacao (optional) 1 tsp
Instruction
Slice and core apple using the apple slicer or a small kitchen knife. Peel banana and slice using banana slicer or a simple kitchen knife. Put the sliced apple and banana in a high speed blender, add a cup of coconut/almond milk/ clean filtered water and blend for about 3 mins until texture is smooth. Add a few drops of stevia to sweeten, where necessary. Pour the blended mixture in a glass and enjoy!

THIS POST IS POWERED UP 100%
my wife loves smoothies.. just showed her the post and gonna make it!
Excellent!!! Wow! Guess she should make the smoothie. It's really good, filling and packed with nutrients. @bearbear613, if your wife adds any of the nut milks or regular milk, then it becomes frappe. I really appreciate your support. Thank you.
Good for you staying strong and turning down junk food! Glade you found an alternative to feed that sweet tooth! I really enjoyed the video it adds a personal touch. I have a love for peanut butter way too much for it not to make it in.
Thanks, @enjar! I try my best, say 80/85% of the time to turn down junk food. In life, I have battled with health challenges that led to my undergoing a major surgery. Oh my goodness, to have a sweet tooth can be quite difficult to manage, but just like you stated I found an alternative. I'm so happy that you enjoyed the video. Yes, people love peanut butter. I do too! Just felt that I could do without it.
I can more than understand that struggle. I gained 3lbs last week after losing 6lbs the week before. I could not bring myself last Friday to make an update to my 100 day fitness/health challenge. I kept so bad records of my week that there was just nothing to even blog about. I made poor choices and was lazy!!!! Making a bigger effort this week and try and avoid some of last week’s mistakes.
Oh! Believe you me, I can relate to that. There is nothing that gets me more discouraged than losing weight and then gaining it right back. Poor food choices are always the bane. Excercise I learnt contribites just about 10% to weight loss, so once one is able to have full control over his diet, sleep and streessful life, then weight loss will happen effortlessly. Please, make bigger efforts this week like you've stated.
One more thing that I know regarding weight loss is liver problems. When the liver is clean, then it can easily process our food, medications & pretty much whatever the body recognises as poisons.
These little kitchen gadgets you have is really very interesting to have indeed! You really have an amazing combination here @maryfavour, cinnamon and cacao matches perfectly with banana and apple!
Lovely one!
@progressivechef
Trust me I love those little kitchen gadgets and still looking to buy more. Apart from the fact that they look fanciful, those gadgets make life easier for me and cut down tremendously the time I spend in the kitchen. Absolutely, @progressivechef! The combination of cinnamon and cacao is ''to die for''. Always appreciate your support. Thanks.
Way to live. It is time to abandon killer food and go for fruits and vegetables.
Yes, @ebohio2008. The earlier we abandon killer foods the better for us. One can never go wrong with eating lots of vegetables and 1-2 servings a day of fruits, amounting to 1-2 whole fruits a day. Nothing more. Thanks for stopping by.
