Eat so GOOD!
Received a text message from a friend last Saturday , she told me that she was nearby my place so she invited me if I could tour her around Greenhills Shopping Center.
I met her around 5pm and have some chit chats about life and career, we also bought new clothes from the TIANGGE. Then at exactly 6:30pm we went straight to Promenade Mall and look for a place for dinner. My friend Laarnie asked me if I could find a place that is new to her taste and something different. So I suggested her to dine in Portuguese restaurant named Peri- Peri Chicken Charcoal. I bet she haven’t taste this one yet.
The ambiance was nice, the waiters smiles a lot! Certified a good service restaurant. It was indeed a different feels for her. Checking out the menu for about 10 minutes finally we ordered!
For my friend Laarnie, she ordered Crispy Tilapia with mango truffle salsa topped in a java rice, with 3 different sauces for only PH. 299 or 6USD. Can you now imagine how flavorful the food is? Yes it was exceedingly flavorful and spicy! For the fish, it was very crispy outside yet so soft inside, the flavor was not too strong and not too bland, I guess it was a good combination of taste when you dip in their home made spicy sauces!! While the mango truffle salsa will give you a refreshing bite of sourness and minty flavor.
While she was on a diet, and she decided to take fish, there I was ordering the less healthy side of the meal! Haha of course, I am a big eater and a fan of pork!!! So I ordered the so called “GRILLED HONEY PORK BELLY with side dish of corn and carrot” for only Ph. 199 or 4 USD. Uhmmm it was a tummy lover for me. I could say that the pork belly was well marinated in honeyed sauce and they tenderly grilled it. Yum yum! I couldn’t really resist and emptied the plate so fast.
We also ordered the “Salted Egg Crispy Chicken Skin” it was supposedly an appetizer but then we tried it with java rice. It was a perfect combination plus what makes it special? The dipping sauce! The sauce was made from a fermented sugar cane almost taste like TUBA or wine vinegar! It gives us the local feels of a Filipino- Portugese fusion. And it was very cheap, bought it for the price of PH. 99 ph or 2 USD.
For our dessert we ordered “ TORTA GORILLA” it was a crushed graham biscuits at the bottom, topped with creamy home- made lemon custard, dulce de leche, whipped cream and some banana brulee. I could say that it was like banofie pie. I will give 5 star for this dessert! For the price of Ph. 199 it was extravagantly a great to try dessert in Peri Peri. Not too sweet and indeed refreshing.
To wrap-up the day, we really enjoyed the night and end her post birthday celebration with a prayer, and declared more blessing for her.
We really thank God for moments like this, reminding us to touch lives in every season.
Thank You Laarnie for paying the bill, using your IPhone and skills to capture these moments.
