Pizza with auvergines and rosemary border
Today I created this pizza thinking of those people that wants to eat healthy,. This pizza is as rich as other kind of traditional pizza. It is easy to prepare and very economic. My grandson that is 10 years old doesn't like auvergines, but he enjoyed it and didn't noticed the auvergines. Let's see what will be your opinion when you prepare it. I took the care of cooking the vegetables apart, so that the pizza won't be watery. I will make an individual pizza.
Ingredients for the dough:
- 2 cups of all use flour
- 1/2 cup of water
- 7 grs of yeast
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- if you prefer you can prepare your own recipe
Steps to follow to prepare the dough
- Place in a small pan the yeast, sugar and lukewarm water
- Place in a bowl the flour, salt and butter and work it with the fingers
- Add the yeast and knead the dough on the table. Let it rest covered with a wet cloth till it doubles in size
Ingredients you need to prepare the pizza:
- 1 auvergine cut in small sticks
- 2 red tomatoes in slices
- 1/2 onion cut in slices
- olive oil
- rosemary cut in tiny pieces
- oregano
- coarse salt
- the dough you have already prepare
- enough mozarelle cheese
I have placed on the table all we need to assemble the pizza:
- Sautéed the auvergines with oil and 2 cloves of garlick for 5 minutes
- Cook the tomatoes with oil and a teaspoon of sugar turning them all the time
- Extend the dough bigger than the plate you are going to use, and place the rosemary on the border
- Roll it to cover the rosemary
Follow to add the vegetables and the cheese:
- First, place the tomatoes adding a bit of coarse salt and oregano
- Then, place the auvergines with coarse salt and oregano
- End up with the onions and the salt
- Add the cheese
- Use the salt sparingly
- take care in the use of the oil, we don't want a soggy pizza
