Another Rainy Public Holiday - May Day

That title would be ok normally, it almost always rains for a public holiday.

The lunch was planned in advance, with the above title in mind.
Anyhow, we decided to go ahead.

With the temperature touching a seemingly impossible 25 Degrees Centigrade:

Public holidays are few and far between here in the UK, I'm told that more civilised countries have more.

Voting for JC is the last UK General Election, my only aim was for the better of the country.
Although I must admit, the prospect of having new public holidays for each of the 'Saint's' days:

• St George
• St Andrew
• St David
• St Patrick

appealed to my sense of personal improvement!

In the end, the people spoke. They were happy with the minimal total of public holidays in the UK.
