Chicken Cordon Blue Recipe w/o using oven
The French term cordon bleu is translated as "blue ribbon". According to Larousse Gastronomique cordon bleu "was originally a wide blue ribbon worn by members of the highest order of knighthood, L'Ordre des chevaliers du Saint-Esprit, instituted by Henri III of France in 1578. Credited from google
Ingredients:
Chicken breast
Ham
Hotdog
Cheese
Seasoning:
Salt
Garlic powder
Thyme
Rosemary
Black pepper
For coating:
3rd Class Flour
Water
Egg
Bread crambs
For White sauce:
Butter
Garlic
All purpose cream
Chicken stock
Cheese
Procedure:
- Remove all the bones of the chicken breast and slice the meet vertically with thin slices.
- Marinate the meet the said seasonings and put the cheese, ham and hotdog, and roll the meet. Then set aside.
- Use a mixing bowl for coating. Mix the flour, water and egg, and dip the marinated meet.
- Use another bowl and pour out the bread crambs for another coating.
- After coating, deep fry the rolled meet and wait until the became brown and cooked.
- After frying, set aside the meet and make its sauce.
- Using frying pan, put a little amount of butter and wait until the butter melt.
- Next, put the garlic, cream, chicken broth and cheese, and wait until the sauce became sticky.
Then make your plating. It's up to you what are the starch and side dishes will you add, but I prefer fried rice and vegetables.
