JAPAN JOURNEYS PART 1 - Instant Gratifishcation [Episode 5.1]

JAPAN! First day, first hour, first minute in the homeland and the only thing on our minds is to quench our souls with the umami indulgent sushi dishes that have for centuries been a namesake for the country of Nippon.

If you've ever frequented sushi you may have gone to one that had a conveyer belt, where you pick the plates you want to eat directly from the belt. Your sushi purist friend might have condemned these places, and in most places in the world, that friend would be 100% in the right to do so. But in Japan these are the norms, and you can get top quality sushi at these places.

Here are some of my top picks from the evening.

Honestly, this place is incredible. This whole meal cost about 25$ per person. The medley in the beginning was just 15 USD, miles cheaper and so much more fresh than any sushi place anywhere else in the world. The coolest part for me, however, is the modesty of the place. This is probably considered average here, which just excites me for all the incredible food I will have while in Tokyo, Chiba and Okinawa, and I'll make sure to fill you all in on the way.
