Dinner Last Night: Pakistani Kachori With A Twist
Kachori is a type of bread deep fried in oil. I know it sounds unhealthy, but you have to try it to know what I am talking about. Kachori is very crispy and it is often enjoyed with potato and chickpea curry on the weekends. It's a traditional Pakistani breakfast. Last night, we made a kachori with a twist. We made semolina puris and stuffed them with boiled potatoes, boiled chickpeas, moong dal, onion, tomatoes, tamarind paste, coriander and chili paste, dates and jaggery paste, and yogurt. It was bursting with taste and I wish I could invite all of you so you can try it out!
