Do you know this food? Have you ever tried one?

This is LOMI one of the most popular noodle dish here in Batangas. Most of the people of Batangas know how to cook this dish because of its affordable ingredients and it is upon you on how you can get it more special, flavorful or more delicious. You can make your own version of it depending on what topping you're going to add on it.
First the base of the dish is made up of thick fresh egg noodles which is also called miki here in the Philippines then the thick soup is made of cornstarch,water,beaten egg and some seasonings to flavor it.
The name of your own lomi version is based on what topping you are putting on it, I'll show some versions of lomi we tried recently.

CHICKEN LOMI

Obviously this lomi got its name from the toppings which is fried chicken,we tried this lomi in a eatery at the back of SM Lipa named Shatra's Lomi Hauz (sorry for the spelling of the "house" but that's what I read there) anyway this lomi is really good, with the combination of the crunchy chicken and the smooth savory base of the lomi it is perfect even for lunch forget the rice because the noodles is good carbs too.

LOMI COMBO

From its name the toppings are combination of pork meatballs, sauteed pork liver and meat. All are good source of protein. Perfect for pork lovers and for those who want to add up rice this is good as your main dish. Then add up some soy sauce with calamansi, chili and lots of minced onions it would be an dish to remember for you. I almost forgot to tell where we tried this, it is a small "lomi house/eatery" inside our subdivision though it is not yet well established he cooks well and this lomi is very flavorful and good.

LECHON LOMI

Last on my list is one of the popular food to try when you visit here in Lipa, Batangas. You can visit LIAM'S LOMI HOUSE just along the national road before the beautiful and sacred Cathedral here in Lipa. It is truly one of the must-try because of the perfect combination of the crispy and flavorful "lechon kawali" and the lomi base. With additional kikiams and meatballs it is quite affordable for its price.

Some folks even make ADOBO LOMI, PORK CHOP LOMI, BEEF LOMI, ASADO LOMI and also LIVER LOMI.
You can also try CHAMI another noodle dish that is also good especially the tamis-anghang(sweet and spicy) version of it.
