Great stuff as always !
Most bars, or at least ones found in shops, especially protein bars, contain tons of Sugar.
Keep rockin steemit with those healthy and fitness info :)
It's Unbelievable the Number of Grams Sugar is Typically in One of These "Healthy Protein Bars" :/ @mcfarhat
Wow. I LOVE these. I will definitely give this a try, because I love snacks, granola and nut butters to bits. And I eat a lot so I require a lot of snacks. This by far beats a lot of my snacks in terms of taste and nutrition! Thanks for the great idea and recipe@hangryginger. I resteemed and upvoted. 😌
Thanks for Your Support @themessup I Hope You Enjoy Trying Out these Granola Bars! Spoiler Alert, They Taste Awesome :D
Ooh I’ve been meaning to find a healthy nut/snack bar recipe! I might drop the honey but do you find the bars already to be lacking sweetness as I don’t want to cut it out if it’ll be too plain afterwards...what do you think?
@phamished The Dates are Very Sweet Themselves, I Would Give it a Try without the Honey. It Would Drop Your Sugar Down to 3g/ Bar vs 6g
Will do, thanks for the info!
This looks great, really. But, there is too much sugar for my preferences and I am afraid that it will strike hunger, but it will strike a high insulin response that will strike me being more hungrier than ever :D Like we have a lot of fructose here, do you have any replacement?
lol, No Worries! In Comparison to Other Granola Bars which Range From 8g - 16g of Sugar or Even a So Called "Healthy" Protein Bar Which I Randomly Looked Up a Cliff Bar Because They Seem to Be Popular and Well Know They are a Shocking 22g of Sugar. So For Me 6g is a Good Deal. I Would Suggest if You'd Like to Reduce the 6g Further you Could Omit the Honey Entirely to Drop the Sugar Down to Just 3g. And You Would Still Have the Sweetness From the Dates @different This Shouldn't Affect How They Bind Together Either.
Great. Thank you!
Yum! Those are some of my favorite ingredients to work with!
Good stuff! I've been experimenting with my own granola recipes recently, specifically of the Paleo variety.
Perhaps I'll post some of my results soon :-)
Sounds Great @colonhoward I Followed You So I Look Forward to Seeing Them! ☺️
