#Food for the day: Ginataang Bamboo shoot (Tambo) with shrimps and Saluyot (jute leaves)
Hello Steemian's I wanted to share our lunch for today, I cooked Ginataang Tambo, We called 'Tambo' in Ilonggo since I am Proud Ilongga, I learn to cook this dish from my Mother before, Ginataang Tambo itself is a savory dish, but adding shrimp's and Saluyot leaves to it makes it more delicious.. You may try this too! You'll like it!
Here's how to make:
*Boil the bamboo shoots in a pot for 10 minutes and drain in running water and let strain. set aside.
*In the pan, heat cooking oil and saute garlic and onions until light brown, add the shrimp's, patis ( fish sauce)and stir.
*Add the bamboo shoots and pour the gata (coconut milk). Cover and simmer for 3 mins.
*Then add the salt and pepper to taste.
*Lastly add the Saluyot leaves (Jute) simmer for 1 mins and ready to serve ...for my Family this dish is best for Lunchtime and of course it's the best tandem with rice.;)
