It is no wonder that Biscotti, Cantucci and cantuccini are all considered to be the same. If you try to research them many websites declare that there is no difference between them. Although it appears that if you make or talk about biscotti there is more latitude for ingredients than the cantuccini. It seems the latter must only have almonds. In both cases they are twice baked. In our area I see no sign of the cantuccini although they may just be mislabeled as biscotti.
You are so right @grandam, but then there is so much that is confusing about Italian food as opposed to Italian-American food. Seems they change drastically by the time they get here! Thanks for reading my post!
