And it is that, when it is available in the refrigerator of this type of jams, you can give a favorable turn to your meals. Ingredients:


200 grams of sweet pepper (red)

½ cup of sugar (100 grams)

1 tablespoon butter

5 cloves

3 tablespoons of lemon juice

1 cup of water (240 milliliters)



Steps to follow to make this recipe:


- Step 1


Wash and cut the sweet peppers. Remove the stem of each one and cut the body in two. Subsequently, the white veins and all the seeds are inside. Use a medium saucepan.

- Step 2


Cook for 5 minutes, remove from heat and water in the colander. Then repeat the same operation two more times to continue with the preparation of the ingredients of this sweet pepper jelly. The total number of times will be three.

Chop the sweet pepper in julienne (strips) or brunoise (cubes). Either of the two techniques you choose should result in very fine pieces. Otherwise, just put the necessary measures of each ingredient. You can leave the last one to preserve its qualities.

To start cooking the homemade sweet jam, place inside a butter and let it melt.

Add the sweet peppers and stir until they become bright and tender (soft). Then, reserve.


Trick: To remove, use a wooden spoon.

To prepare the syrup, use a saucepan and a water vertex along with the sugar cubes and sugar. Place the medium-high heat. Calculate between 3 and 5 minutes for the mixture to reach a boiling point. Check if the sugar was diluted by extracting a little of the syrup with the spoon. If you see sugar crystals, you should continue cooking.


Trick: If you wish, you can add a cinnamon stick.

When the sugar has the consistency of syrup, deposit the chopped peppers. To know if the syrup is ready, do the thread test: use a spoon, collect the liquid and fall like a thread ..., it's time for the peppers! Stir well to wrap the small peppers with the syrup. Let it cook for 30 minutes over low heat, but do not neglect it and stir occasionally. Wait until it is consumed a little and thicken the sweet pepper jelly, depending on the consistency you want.

Before finishing the cooking, add the lemon juice, as well
