How to make a Moroccan Tajine with 7 vegetables
Did you know that one of the popular and delicious dishes is the Moroccan Tajine and Couscous?
No problem, now you can test your self with this great and simple Recipe
This recipe that we will give you is a very well known Moroccan recipe: the tagine with 7 vegetables, also called tajine SOUIRI.
** Ingredients :
• 1 kg of meat
• A quarter of a glass of olive oil
• A quarter of a glass of vegetable oil
• A teaspoon of salt
• 3 cloves of garlic cut out
• A teaspoon of red pepper
• A teaspoon of ginger powder
• A teaspoon of pepper
• Dye (za3frane)
• A tomato
• An onion
• 2 potatoes
• 3 carrots
• 2 zucchini
• A bowl of peas
• A glass of water
• A teaspoon of coriander
** Steps :
1 - Wash the vegetables and peel them. Cut the tomato into small pieces, cut the onion into slices and the potatoes lengthwise. Cut the zucchini and carrots into small pieces.
Now that every vegetable is cut and in a container, you can go to the 2nd step.
2 - Heat a tajine over medium heat. Put olive oil and add the kilo of meat and vegetable oil. Mix until the meat turns red and then go to step 3.
3 - Add garlic to pieces in your preparation. Then add the red pepper, the ginger powder, the pepper, the dye (za3frane) and mix.
Add water and cover the tajine until the meat is well cooked (30 min).
4 - Decorate your tajine on the fire with the vegetables. Add the peas and coriander and cook for 30 minutes over medium heat, covering the tajine.
5 - Enjoy your meal!
6 – Don't forget :
!!!! you have to eat the tajine all hot to the maximum 2 min after you remove it from the fire!!!
