Why You Should to Eat Fish More Often

in #food8 years ago

Although everyone thinks that the meat is the best source of protein, it is not so. Meat admittedly has a lot of protein, but together with them often contains a lot of fat and other substances that are difficult to digest and which burden the digestion.

Fish is highly beneficial to the body?
Not only do they contain polyunsaturated fat, valuable allies for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, anti-stress and improve concentration, but also a rich source of mineral salts. Marine fish is rich in iodine, potassium, sodium and copper, while the freshwater contains less sodium and iodine.

All types of fish contain vitamins B1, B2, B6 and B12, valuable for the proper functioning of the nervous system.

The recommendations say that in order to preserve health, per week we should consume at least 2 times per 200 grams of fish.

Fish is an excellent source of protein. Protein fish are easier to digest and more usable protein from meat and milk. Due to the very low content of connective tissue and the nature of proteins that are the mostly short muscle fibers, it is unlikely that after consumption of fish report feeling "weight" in the stomach.

As an integral part of the diet, fish contributes to the overall intake of vitamins and minerals in particular. Expert source of vitamin B3, B12, A and D, and minerals calcium, iron, zinc, potassium, phosphorus, and one of the most important sources of selenium.

The percentage of fat varies from species to species, and under it differ lean fish, with less than 2 percent of lipids (such as hake), a little greasy, with 2-5 percent (trout), semi-skimmed of from 5 to 10 percent lipids ( tuna, swordfish) and fat with more than 10 percent (salmon...)

Should I avoid fatty fish?

No, because they are rich in omega 3, which have a great impact on body functions.
Besides fish is good in the fight against depression, fatty substance present in fish helps the brain to better use serotonin, a hormone that has a positive effect on mood

Fish also has a positive effect on the nervous system and metabolism, and contains fluorine and phosphorus. Fluoride is essential for the construction of the tooth enamel, while the phosphor material in the bones and also is rich in iron.

The nations that consume a lot of fish (eg, Eskimos and Japanese) cardiovascular diseases are extremely rare, although the ratio of fat to ingest fish consuming relatively large. This is because fish contains so-called good fats that protect blood vessels from the deposition of bad fat.

Live long, eat fish!

that is all true unless we take into account pollution. at the moment those who eat a lot of fish and sushi are vulnerable. this produce often contain heavy metals and mercury in particular, which is quite difficult to detox from the body.

That's true! That's why I wrote atleast 2 times per week... I think 2-3 times per week is ok :)
I think it also depends of what type of fish we eat... For example Tuna have more mercury then almost any other fish...
