Traditional Puto Cheese
My very first steamed puto cheese made with love.
Just a budget friendly recipe and very easy procedure.
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
3tbsp baking powder
1 cup refined sugar
400 grams evaporated milk
4 egg whites
Cheese(cut to strips)
A pinch of salt
Food color(optional)
1/3 cup melted butter
Procedure:
Mix all dry ingredients(flour,sugar,baking powder ).Add the egg whites,evap milk,melted butter,a pinch of salt and food color.Set aside
Prepare the steamer.
Brush molder with the melted butter.When steamer is ready pour the mixture in each molder cup.Steam for 10 mins. Put the cheese strip on top of the cheese then steam again for 2 mins.
Remove the puto cheese from the steamer and transfer to plate.
