Slow cooked beef brisket with mash potatoes. Homemade & delicious.
Yesterday I cooked this recipe that I like so much. Slow cooked beef brisket. The brisket I can get here comes with bones, I discard them except for a couple that I put in the tray to add some flavor and to thicken the sauce with its collagen.
I dice the beef in a bug and chunky manner and place them in a tray. Then I cooked some onions in a very hot pan. Place the onions in a bow, add two pints of beer, a lot of BBQ sauce, the juice of two lemons, some sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt, pepper and garlic.
Cover the tray with tinfoil and to the oven it goes: 4 hours at 150 C or 300 F.
Then I did some mash potatoes, just boil the pots, strain, add butter, milk, salt pepper and nutmeg.
And... voilá! Nice and easy and so freaking delicious!
Sorry for the crappy pictures, they are all from an iPhone 5 SE
As great as the brisket looks, those desserts really made me hungry. Did you make those as well?
Now I'm hungry and throwing in those cupcakes at the end didn't help my diet lol. I've done briskets in the bast with dried onion soup and grape jelly for sweetness. Came out great.
Dude. I'm hungry. And now, I'm starving 😁
uy that rich recipe, the dish looks incredible.
I like the cut of your jib. Also, that beef.
I'm vegetarian but I have to give credit where it's due. That looks really great!
Mashed potatoes and meat, my two all time favorites hahaha
Looks amazing! Now I'm just dreaming of some cold weather so that I can cook something like this!
