What's monosodium glutamate or MSG? is it harmful for us?

The Ajinomoto or monosodium glutamate(MSG) is a additive that makes the food more delicious, it gives one of the basic tastes: acid, sweet, sour, salty and Umami: Japanese for “delicious taste,” umami is produced by certain amino acids. It’s best described as “savory", you can get the umami with or enhance it with the ajinomoto.

What's the origin of the ajinomoto(MSG) ? what's the history of the ajinomoto(MSG) ?

Kikunae Ikeda was a professor in a university " In the school of japan, the people remember him as one of the greatest inventors of the island", he discovered that the glutamate was the aminoacid that gives that good tastes to the soup of vegetables and the tofu that her wife cooked for him.The professor Ikeda had found the common component in the dishes that the people enjoyed since centuries. the formula to create the ajinomoto was simple: combining it with salt and water it gets a shape of crystal soluble easy to store the monosodium glutamate or MSG.

It will have a bad taste if you taste it alone, the most of the food that we eat in our diary life has Umami, and some people and scientist claims that excessive ingestion of glutamate enhances cancer development and cause asthma, migraine, hypertension and hearts attacks, depression, deficit of attention, Alzheimer and Parkinson, the MSG is an chemical as the same way that the water that we drink or the air that we breath.

But if the MSG is so bad for us, why not all the asian people dont suffer about having cancer, heart attacks, asthma, etc, maybe it's not harmful.

the monosodium glutamate or MSG. It's totally fine to eat. It is a great way to add richness to food, but if you use too much all of your food kind of tastes like ramen noodles so, don't use it to cut corners on ingredients, but to enhance what you already have.

For everybody who gets all panicked about MSG, there is free glutamate in plenty of foods you eat such as cheeses, mushrooms, and anything else with a strong umamai flavor, but consuming in excess is bad, everything in excess is bad.
so maybe there aren't some additive that are bad for us maybe we are consuming a lot of it.

The scientist said about MSG causes a syndrome that he named "Chinese Restaurant Syndrome" is not true. I have been eaten MSG for long time and didn't feel that syndrome. He might be allergy to an ingredient in Chinese foods he ate.

Chinese Restaurant Syndrome what he said is an headache caused by MSG.

In the fact, people lives in MSG consuming areas and eats MSG aren't stupid at all. Just like peoples not eating MSG.

but it's okay, let the people believe in what they want believe, but if we know the true no problem, they have fear because the bad fame that it got
