Couscous - My all time favorite food!
I hope you are all having a great start of the weekend!
Today I want to talk a bit about my all time favorite food...COUSCOUS
To start with, let me tell you that despite popular belief, couscous is actually a pasta and not a grain. It is actually made of semolina and wheat flour which are steamed to form the grain.
Couscous is a staple in North African cooking! And you may find many variations from region to region and my favorite version is the Moroccan one of course!
The picture above is a couscous i made recently with beef and vegetables, it was so delicious!
This one is a chicken coucous which I also cooked myself at home.
What is also great with couscous is that it is kid-friendly and I am sure you will find that even the pickiest of children will love couscous. You can just sneak in the couscous those fruits and veggies that many kids refused to eat.
You can see below even my daughter just dive in when i cook couscous!

I do like it, but have not cooked it very often. Share some good recipes!
Normally the Moroccan cooks it on Friday, but me also i don't cook it so much, because normally we need to eat it together in one dish, here in Mauritius the people eat separately.

There is no better than Moroccan tajine, of course it is characterized by a special flavor and pleasure, that cannot be matched by another dish, thank you for commenting.

Yes it's very delicious, and light meal , it's my favorite food, it contains so much vegetables and meat , the couscous have to be steamed first then you can cook the bouillon separately.
I adore seafood, so I often cook ocean fish in my spare time. My friends know that I am a professional in this field, so they often ask me. Sometimes they ask ridiculous things, but recently, a friend of mine asked me what to serve with surf turf? I was a little surprised by this question, so I was confused. After spending some time, I found some excellent recommendations on the internet and told my friend about them. He really liked it and brought me to try the dish.
