No, really! A KFC smartphone! And your face is important!
Want Your Phone Original, or Extra Crispy?
Yes, it’s true and it’s new, Kentucky Fried Chicken appears to be the first fast food conglomerate to release its own smartphone (a re-branded Huawei)*.
So, when I was in High School, I worked at KFC. I know first-hand about the ingredients and quality of their food products. If this smartphone is anything like any of their food, we better hope it’s less coleslaw and more breast meat!
Your Face Is Important to KFC
All joking aside, it actually does come with a custom KFC app. No kidding! This app uses the camera on your phone to guess what you want to eat based on your face. I have a bad feeling about this. On the one hand, it would be cool to find out how it can tell if you want original or extra crispy chicken. However, I do not want to know how it will tell if you want white meat or dark meat? Honestly, I’m overweight, so if it is a really helpful app, it should tell ME to go to Chipotle.
A New Trend?
What’s next? Will McDonalds climb on board? “Introducing the new McTablet! Get it supersized!” How about Taco Bell? “Yo quiero taco teléfono?” And what about the new Bacon flavored smartphone from Dominoes? It’s Crunchy, Hand Tossed, with a Tomato Sauce shockproof case.
That being said, if KFC throws in a few biscuits with the phone, I may order it as a combo. But will I have to pick two sides? Ugh! There’s that coleslaw again.

Haha it's just a promotion gimmic. They use it as a selling point for their app. Lol
