But dont judge it by its look because the taste is absolutely stunning! But first what is Balut?

Balut is a fertilised bird egg (which is usually Duck's egg) that is incubated for about 2 - 3 weeks sometimes the time is extended or they become ready already even if it is incubated for a week only depending on the egg and the local culture then boiled or steamed.

It is a common street food in the Philippines and because of its popularity it is now also sold in Malls and other countries and different chefs from the Philippines made different dish with this amazing food! images-5.jpg

WOW! Balut is also a source of protein and calcium and if you sip the delicious broth of the egg inside its just stunning and its best serve with salt or homemade special vinegar by the locals and they say that it can give you strength before making love with your partners but its only a saying.

Some says that its gross and disgusting but of you go to the Philippines taste this amazing delicacy of the country and you will be surprised.
