Classic Dining 玲珑轩 – Nostalgic Themed Chinese Restaurant in Fair Park road Ipoh

If you are looking for good food from Malaysia, the top 3 states from north to south of peninsular Malaysia they are Penang, Ipoh, Melaka.

To compete in the F & B in Ipoh it is not easy as there are too many food places that the locals know and come to think of it, “Ipoh mali” (a local saying referring to people born from Ipoh) are very particular about what they eat. Locals want it to be cheap but also wants it to taste like 6 star hotel standards.

So what is the next thing that becomes the attraction? The atmosphere or the design of the venue that makes one feel like in the movies. If you want to have a really good selfie or wefie, do dress up with the traditional chinese clothing and have a good photo in this restaurant.

Today I am going to cover one restaurant from Ipoh. This is a new restaurant called “Classic Dining - 玲珑轩”

This restaurant is located in Fair Park road. It is just a 10 minutes drive from the Ipoh City. By the way Ipoh is considered to be one small city with all the goodies (i mean food) and very kind and friendly people.

Remember the chinese kungfu movie called "the drunken master" ? Those shelve on the left, haha It would be an interesting beer drinking competition with those instead of beer bottles.

Refreshing flower tea

Along with fish tea cup that look almost like there is real fish inside the tea cup

This last photo shows when you come out and as if you are leaving this parallel from the ancient city of china back to 2017. Ah and those teapots they form a fountain. The teapot fountain!

Oh and how can I left out the food, too delicious, its already inside the stomach !! @.@

On your next trip, you could try the infamous ice-cream soda :) Only a few restaurants in Ipoh still has it. There's one at downtown Ipoh, somewhere near Foh San dim sum. I'm a Ipoh person and until now, I have no idea what's in the drink other than ice and ice-cream.

honestly theres so many to offer from ipoh, ipoh mali ppl also cant really get to taste all of them. maybe you can share the ice cream soda that you are referring to me haha

Forget about chicken rice, dimsum and 'wai sek kai'. You can get all these in KL but obviously the taste of it wont be the same. Just google Ipoh Ice Cream soda 😂 There's no particular name for it and this drink will soon be extinct 😭😭😭 It's a very old school 'delicacy'.

i recall this one... though been living in Ipoh for my first 20 years of existence I don't really go for this. The ice cream soda is served with the f&n ice cream soda can, on top of that a scoop of ice cream. Probably the idea of this beverage is to have ...carbonated ice cream? like carbonated soft drinks.... Hm... but it is interesting to know that the people are creative and have many to offer. It is good enough to have ice cream in a hot sunny day. Oh but I normally would go for snowy mountain, the popular drive through soy drink and tau fu far
