Creamy tomato sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter;
- 1 onion;
- pinch of ground cloves;
- 1 teaspoon cumin seed;
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg;
- a pinch of ground ginger ;
- ½ tsp cinnamon;
- salt - to taste;
- 400 g of tomato paste;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 250 ml of whipping cream;
- 100 ml of water.
Cooking
In a frying pan or saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Fry it in diced onions until golden brown. Pour in the cloves, cumin, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and salt and mix.
Put the tomato paste and mix thoroughly. Add the finely chopped garlic, cream and water. Stir and cook the sauce for another 5-7 minutes.
