Soy Chunk Pulao : Easy and Delicious Protein Rich Vegan Recipe
Sometimes we are hungry but don't have much time to cook then such recipes are very helpful to satisfy tummy and tongue with nourishment.
Today due to lake of time I decided to prepare my favorite **Soy Chunk Pulao **, rich in plant protein and carbohydrate.
Ingredients
- Indian Basmati Rice 1 cup
- Soy Chunk 1/2 cup
- Onion 1 no
- Garlic cloves 8-10 nos
- Green chili 2 nos
- Pulao masala or garam masala powder ( Available in any Indian grocery store)
- Cashew nuts 1/4 cup
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
- Lemon juice 2 tbsp
- Cane sugar 1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Procedure
- Wash rice thoroughly and sock in water for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker or in any boiler.
- Add cumin seed and masala powder, saute for a couple of minutes.
- Add sliced onion, crushed garlic, chopped green chili and cook for few minutes.
- When all masala cooked, add lemon juice, sugar, salt, cashew nuts, soy chunks and 2 times water of rice quantity.
- Cook on low flame without a whistle on the pressure cooker.
- Check in between, when rice cooked properly put whistle and switch off the flame. wait for 10 minutes.
Delicious protein-rich vegan Pulao is ready
