Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world. Coffee is a drink derived from roasted coffee beans and then mashed into powder. Currently coffee is one of the commodities traded between countries.

There are two varieties or types of coffee that are famous in the world, Robusta Coffee (Coffea Canephore) and Arabica Coffee (Coffea Arabica).

If we talk about the history of coffee beans and who invented coffee for the first time, many stories say that coffee was first discovered in the highlands of the Ethopia region thousands of years ago.

Coffee began to enter Europe in the 16th century through trade routes in Italy, France, the Netherlands and England. But the first rejection was obtained from the authority of the Catholic church in Europe. They assume that coffee drinks are 'devil drinks' because of the stimulant effects they cause.

Coffee began to be known in America in the 17th century. It was brought by a French Infantry Captain on his way across the Atlantic Ocean. Coffee plants then began to spread rapidly to the regions of Central and South America, especially Brazil.

Since then coffee has begun to spread throughout the world and become a major commodity in world trade. Many of the best coffee-producing countries in the world come from central and southern America and from Africa such as Ethopia which is the place where coffee was first discovered.

Since coffee is found in Ethopia, so far there are many types. But the most famous is Robusta and Arabica coffee. There is also the most expensive type of coffee in the world, namely the type of Civet coffee originating from Indonesia. Kopi Luwak is a unique type of coffee produced from Luwak animals that eat coffee beans.
