This kid walked into our office to sell cakes. He looks young like a 15 year old student selling cakes for his mother. Turns out he is 21 and likes selling he said.

His name is Andy and he made all the cakes that he sells - yup! that’s what he said when I asked if he’s helping selling his mother or sister in this business.

For RM18 (USD4.30) you can choose cakes of different flavours- cheese, mango, chocolate, yam, strawberry & pandan. You can even have with all six flavours in one pack if you can’t decide. I bought the fast selling (he knows how to sell) green steamed cake for RM19 (USD4.50).

Andy told me it’s a mix of cereal (nestum), pandan and green tea. And it actually taste great- soft yet solid texture and not too sweet.

Andy is selling 20-25 packs a day which totaled about RM400 daily or RM13,500 (USD3,200) monthly. Food has higher profit margin. Even at 50% this 21 year old entrepreneur is making a handsome profit than some executives.
