Kiwi a powerhouse of Vitamin & Mineral

Kiwi is not just a simple fruit but it has a great value as a nutritional content.The slices of the fruit is good for health and the black seed is considered as sight of eyes.It's sweet&sour combined taste makes it different among other fruits.
It is to be said that it is chinese in origin and it has been valued a medicinal properties since ancient time.But ironically it is considered as national fruit of New Zealand and was reintroduced to the world as ‘kiwi’ rather than its old monikers – yang tao and Chinese gooseberry.The fruit was brought in New Zealand by missionaries and was gained popularity.So, it being started cultivated commercially and marketed as Kiwi.The Europeans and the Americans also loved it and started to use it in cereal dessert and many other foods.
Placed under the category of exotic fruits, kiwi often features as a topping in pavlovas or in fruit bowls, salads and smoothies. Very rarely it is cooked; in desserts especially, it is used fresh as an enzyme present in it tends to break down milk proteins rather quickly, interfering with the final texture of the dish. It is used too as a tantalizing ingredient into meet and curry.
The Nutritional Side to Kiwis
We admitted apple as a miracle fruit like that Kiwi having great vitamins and mineral and works in many ways to boost up human's mind and health.Here are some pointers –
1. High Source of Vitamin C
If you think that lemons and oranges are the biggest source of vitamin c then you should think again.Because Kiwi is also a good source of vitamin c.According to a nutritional report per **100 mg kiwi having 154% **vitamin c.It is also a great source of antioxidant which eliminating fee radicals that causes inflammation and cancer.It boosts up immunity to fight with pathogens.
2. Sleep Inducer
Have you any troubles in sleeping?Then the solution is at hand.Yes ,Kiwi is a fruit which have antioxidants and serotonin that help to reduce sleeping disorder.It is to be said that two Kiwi one hour before bedtime help inducing in sleeping.
3. Good Source of Dietary Fiber
This exotic fruit contains highly dietary fiber which reduces many types of diseases.
According to a study done by the University of Leeds, “Increasing consumption of fibre-rich foods can lower risks of both cardiovascular disease (CVD) and coronary heart disease (CHD).”
4. Helps in Digestion
Kiwi contains a enzyme named actinidain which is a protein dissolving properties like papain in papaya.It is a helper in the body of human to digest protein.It also helps patients who suffering from bowel syndrome.
5. Powerhouse of Vitamins and Minerals
Kiwi fruit is loaded with vitamins and minerals such as Vitamins A, B6, B12, E, and potassium, calcium, iron and magnesium.The high level of potassium,312 mg per 100 grams helps to keep blood pressure control.

i havent tried kiwi ever but i was hoping i can find it in our local market someday. unfortunately i never found anyone who grows it here too, it looks yummy i can only wish to try.
