Let us talk about Laing, the one of my favorite dish in the Philippine cuisine. Have you ever try to eat a dried gabi leaves with a coconut milk and a fish as its main ingredient. I am sure that will really loved eating this kind of meal and you will only leave a clean plate at the table. Laing is one of the authentic and very popular food in Bicol Philippines, since this region has lots of coconut trees and this is their main source of income, this thing lets them to cook food with coconut milk.

Cooking Laing is easy and fun, you just need to clean each leaves of it, then dried it up under the sun, you need to dry it thoroughly so you can get the desired taste of the true laing, after you already prepare the dried leaves, then it is the time for cooking it. Fry and stir fry the garlic and fish, wait until it becomes tender, then add the gabi leaves and the coconut milk, mix it thoroughly then simmer for 30 minutes, you should cooked it with a low fire, so you can get the consistency of it after cooking. You can put some chili while cooking it or you can add it when you are going to serve it in the table.
