3rd Recipe! New York Strip Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans - A Delicious Recipe!

Yesterday, I told one of my friends that I have been recently blogging about different recipes on steemit, so he suggested me to share a new recipe with you guys that he tried on his recent visit to New York. He was so amazed with the taste the he inquired about the recipe and saved it for his future cooking. Special thanks to him for sharing this piece with us!
New York Strip Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans is a delicious recipe which is luxuriantly tasty. As an add on, in this recipe we’ve got almond green beans and mashed potatoes to help you on your way to a satisfied appetite.

New York Strip Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans
Ingredients
- Potatoes - 6 Ounce
- Green Beans - 6 Ounce
- Sliced Almonds - 1 Ounce
- Shallot - 1 Unit
- Sour Cream - 4 Tbsp
- Beef Demi Glace (Contains Milk) - 1 unit
- Tricolor Peppercorns - 1/4 tbsp
- Parsley - 1/4 ounce
- New York Strip Steak - 10 Ounce
- Truffle Oil - 1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tbsp
- Butter - 1tbsp
- Salt and Pepper (as per taste)
Preparation Method:
Firstly, pat steak dry with a paper towel and season all over with salt and pepper. Once done, heat a pan with a drizzle of oil in it on a medium- high heat. Cook the steak in pan for 3-6 minutes per side. Remove from pan and set aside to rest, you may also cover steak with aluminum foil to keep it warm.
Secondly, Add another drizzle of oil in pan and reduce heat to medium low. Chop Shallot, add it to pan and toss for 1-2 minutes until if get softened. Stir in ¼ tsp crushed peppercorns, demi-glace, and ½ cup water. Once its boiled, lower the heat and simmer until reduced, 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat. Add 1 Tbsp of butter and half the sour cream and stir until butter is melted. Season with salt and pepper.
The Third Step, is to peel the potatoes and cut them into /2 inch cubes. Place them in a medium pot with a pinch of salt and enough water to cover. Potatoes are required to be boiled and cooked until easily pierced by a knife, approximately by 12-15 minutes. Once done, drain and return to pot.
The Fourth Step, is to heat oven to 425 degrees. Clean the green beans and crush peppercorns. Finely chop parsley. Toss green beans, a drizzle of oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper on a baking sheet. Roast in oven until tender, 12-15 minutes.
Once potatoes are done, the next step is to prepare the sauce by adding the remaining sour cream and ½ tsp truffle oil to pot and Mash with a potato masher until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Finally, We need to toss the green beans with almonds. Thinly slice steak against the grain. Elegantly, divide mashed potatoes, green beans, and steak between plates. Drizzle sauce over steak and potatoes. Garnish with parsley!
