[FOOD] BATAGOR - BASO TAHU GORENG
BATAGOR stands for (BAso TAhu GOReng /FRIED TOFU BASO). This food is a typical Indonesian snack originating from Bandung, Indonesia. Batagor is made from softened tofu and filled with a mixture made from fish and tapioca flour then shaped like a ball which is fried in hot oil for several minutes until cooked. Another variation is dumplings, fried and served with batagor and combined with peanut sauce, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce and lime juice as a complement. Nowadays, batagor is not only round in shape, but there are batagor variants wrapped in fried wonton skin.
