Thanks @veganic for your comment! For me, canned chickpeas are processed foods. Additives are added in the canning process. I prefer to cook big batches of dried chickpeas and then freeze them for later. Though organic eggs, dairy, and meat are acidifying you can still eat them, if you are not a vegan of course, since a 100 % percent alkaline diet can make you sick too, just as having too many acidic ashes or residues. The acid-base rule actually comes down to 80 percent alkaline-forming foods and 20 percent acid-forming foods (including seeds, nuts, grains, dairy, etc). Or something close to this ratio. When it comes to these foods moderation is key. But I make a post about it soon!
