If I can find a replacement for the egg-whites, (which I'm using to give me some rise or height) this recipe will be vegan. I was thinking about trying the liquid from canned chick peas.

Could work. Chia or flax seed "egg" might work too if you are looking to make a vegan variation.

Yes, they make good replacements for eggs, but they would need to be able to hold air when whipped to make the rise happen in the finished pancake.
