HEALTHY SNACKS | 5-Minute Chocolate Chip Nice Cream ๐ฆ๐๐ซ
Ever since I blended my first banana into what they call a "Nice Cream" today, I have been hooked. Though chocolate avocado mouse remains my favorite sweet snack or dessert, nice creams definitely come second.
Who said dessert can't be good for you had it completely wrong... or he never had a nice cream before. That's the other possibility. Nice Creams are a refreshing, delicious treat that's dairy-free, sugar-free, and 100% plant-based!
You expect some more nice creams post in the future. We have so many bananas growing in the garden right now. Let's see how creative we can get with these sweet treats.
5-Minute Chocolate Chip Nice Cream
Ingredients
- Frozen fruits, as much as you like (I used a mix of banana, pineapple, and papaya)
- Raw cacao nibs or chopped vegan chocolate
- Nut milk of your choice (I used coconut milk)
- Toppings of your choice (I used a mix of dried goji berries, mulberries, and cranberries; sliced almonds, and coconut flakes)
Directions
- Peel, chop and freeze your favorite fruits.
- When frozen, add them to a blender and process adding nut milk to desired texture of a soft serve ice cream. Use a tamper to push the fruits into the blades.
- Sir in the cacao nibs or vegan chocolate chips.
- Top with your favorite toppings. I used dried goji berries, cranberries, mulberries, sliced almonds and coconut flakes.
Enjoy this sweet, refreshing, yummy, guilt-free treat!

Me and my partner LOVE nice cream! We don't use the blender or food processor anymore though as we have a "Yonanas" machine now, basically you throw a banana in and push it through and it comes out like soft serve ice cream ๐
Wow never had heard of that before.... since we move a lot (even between countries) I have to keep my kitchen appliances to a minimum.... and I doubt they will sell this here in Cambodia. Looks cool though.
Yes, that was how I used to live when living in Thailand, I really hated not being able to have all of the fancy kitchen stuff. Breadmaker is a must for me and a proper oven! We lived for over a year using just a toaster oven :( I'd also love to get an instant pot in the future!
Ha, an oven we have... but indeed would love a few other things... one day we'll find our place in the wide world so I can have them all hehe. Until then simplicity in the kitchen hehe
I love banana nice cream, I have never added chocolate chips to it before, thanks for the tip. ๐๐ช
The bowl you used is so beautiful, what's the story behind it?
Chocolate makes everything better... that's the Belgian in me speaking I guess hehe. Bought the bowl in the Japanese recycle shop for probably under a dollar... just love that shop. Nearly buy all my bowls and plate there. Have a great day!
Frozen food yummm ๐๐
Especially in the form of ice cream ;)
Wait a second. That sounds a lot like a smoothie:) i guess its more like a chunky smoothie:)) yum!
More like an ice cream soft-serve smoothie... not liquid at all ;) Give it a try and be amazed. If you prefer a harder consistency, blend and add to the freezer for an hour or so. It is so good. thanks for your comment!
That really sounds good. I had not thought of freezing the fruit. Nice twist and YUM!
Happy to be of some inspiration. It's so good. The perfect dessert or afternoon snack. We even have them for breakfast on hot tropical days.
Your food photography is so beautiful ๐
Aww thanks gorgeous. I have nature to thank for the beautiful props and setting ;)
Banana and chocolate always pair well together. Adding pineapple and papaya into the mix... Hmmm... I have never tried before. Maybe it's time I should. ๐
You can add any fruit you like. Thanks for dropping by!
Super yummy looking! I haven't had nice cream in ages... I know what I'm doing this afternoon!
