How make Lengua de Suegra!
Delicious dessert with a funny name.
Hello, one more time around here... today I am gonna show you how make a great dessert, in Venezuela people always is playing games about the mothers in law doing comments about if they are sneaky peaky and never shut up the mouth hahaha , as usually is Venezuelan`s mood :) and of course as you can see, the imagination flies so a very creative pastry chef named the plate LENGUA DE SUEGRA, in english sounds kind of weird ( MOTHER IN LAW´S TONGUE).
What do you need for this preparation?
For the mass :
Puff Pastry
4 cups of unprepared flour
1 cup of fresh water
10gr. of melted butter without salt
300gr. of butter without melt, unsalted
2 ½ teaspoons of salt
chocolate pastry, with milk for the sweetness
sprinkles
For fill it:
- Peanut butter ( you can find it in any supermarket, in amazon or if you want you can make your own peanut butter)
Let`s do it!!
First, mix the unprepared flour with the butter without melted salt then add a cup of water and a cup of salt, follow with the unmelted butter without salt.
Beat it around 10 seconds.
You can use your hands for finishing the mixture, it will much better!
Finally you are going to need, wrap it up with envoplast and take to the fridge for a couple of hours.
When it is ready , take out the mass from the fridge, stretch it so that it looks like a book, pu ti back to the envoplast and take to the fridge around 2 hours ... then you can take it and cut it into two pieces, you need stretch every piece and make like strips of 15 cm long by 3cm wide.
THE PUFF PASTRY NEED TO BE COLD FOR USE IT, BECAUSE IT IS DELICATE TO WORK AND WE DON´T WANT BREAK IT
After this process click the mass with a fork in order to grow, pu it one more time in the frezzer for 30 minutes!
Preheated the oven around 200 º C or 400º C and take your lenguas de suegra into the oven, please check it and when they are with a gold color or half brown, take them out for paint them with the "glucomiel" its like honey with sugar so put them one more time into the oven for 15 or 20 minutes, when they look brown it means they are ready...
Previously to this you have had to melt the chocolate because we need to put it in both extreme of this dessert and just rigth there, where is the chocolate part you are going to add the sprinkles...
Finally take a pastry bag put in there the peanut butter and start to fill the lenguas de suegra....
